How to Get Unstuck: Part 2

This is Part 2 in a two part series on the experience of Being Stuck. In this post, I offer some solutions on how to get yourself unstuck.

In Part 1 of this series, I talked about the things that get us stuck in life, and the things that keep us there. I covered a lot in that article, mostly because it’s a pretty lengthy subject. If what I talked about resonated with you, getting unstuck will be pretty straight forward.

The first thing that we can do to get unstuck is identifying how being stuck benefits us. The truth about human nature is that we don’t do anything that doesn’t somehow serve us. Is being stuck validating the story running in your mind, the beliefs you hold, or your fears in general? People don’t like to be wrong period. Sometimes we make decisions that make absolutely zero sense, only so that we can prove the story running in our heads right. Get clear on this, and I promise you will see your situation in a new light.

The next thing is to forgive whatever it is you’re trying to get unstuck from, and release it. Forgive the circumstance, forgive the people involved, forgive yourself. We can’t move forward if we’re holding onto the energy of what happened to us. F-EFT, guided imagery, and hypnosis are great techniques for doing this.

Once we forgive and release it, we are clear to make a new choice. Choice is our superpower as humans. We have free will to choose whatever we want. In moving forward, we can choose better and higher for ourselves.

Being in a state of passivity will definitely keep us stuck. One of the easiest ways to move towards your new choice is to take one step per day. It doesn’t have to be a leap, but there is always one small thing you can do every day to move you in the right direction. Figure out what it is, then do it!

A big thing that will aid us in getting unstuck is deepening our spiritual practices. This doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Maybe it’s journaling your feelings and dumping your brain. Perhaps it’s praying more, meditating, attending a yoga class, or reading a sacred text. This is another area where F-EFT, guided imagery, and hypnosis can be of major assistance.

Finally, get a new vision for yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Have a plan about how you are going to turn your vision into a reality, and don’t be afraid to share it with people you trust. Be specific about the vision itself, and how you are going to make it happen.

If you’re looking for some additional support in getting yourself unstuck, let’s work together. I have been through this experience myself, and have helped numerous clients out with this process in my many years of doing this type of work.
